"The next assignment is to tell a tale in 10 pictures", my colleague stated with a smile on his face. I reacted rather surprised: "but that's quite a challenge for us beginners". Well, That's a good way to learn", he responded.
I guess that's true. it's all about practice and bring your camara as much as possible. Assignments help to set focus. This assignment is for my fotoclub at work. Finding a topic was easy; May 4th - Remembrance day.
Well... Finding a topic turned out to be the easy part. Shooting this tale was not so easy, as I found out last saturday. Until now I was used to take pictures of whatever I think is worthwile taking. This usually means a beautiful landscape, animal or street composition I like. During the event of remembrance day there was no beautiful landscape or interesting object. It was about a setting, emotions, strangers comming together to remember and honour those who died serving their country.
I have to be honest, I'm not realy happy with the results. I miss a good overview picture, my lens was not reaching as far as I wanted to get more detail in and in the end I think the emotion is not realy visible. But anyhow, this site is to monitor my progress, not (only) to show off with stunning pictures, so have a look and let me know what you think!
